The 911 office is responsible for the ongoing efficient operations of the countywide Enhanced 911 system, with emphasis being to insure that all present and future addresses are included in the system to maintain and expedient level of response from emergency personnel. The 911 Coordinators responsibilities are, but not limited to, addressing, mapping, training, budgeting, educating the public on 911 and its features, Smart911 training and education, updating and maintaining MSAGs, reporting to Quorum Court on a monthly basis, working with all of the area telephone companies.

Job Title:

         E-911 Addressing and Mapping/ Dispatch

Description of duties:

         Ensure that all new addresses are given correctly, and are entered in the system to maintain and expedient level of response from emergency personnel. This includes going out and getting new addresses and maintaining current emergency mapping.  All new structures constructed in Marion County must be issued by the 911/addressing and mapping office.

         This position will also be trained for dispatch, and will be required to fill in as dispatcher when needed. 

         Any applicant must be able to pass a drug screen and a background check.

Starting salary is based on experience. With a maximum salary of $13.75 per hour. 
 

Applications will be taken at the Marion County Judges office.

Requests for a new street address or a new road name may be done through the Marion County Assessor's Office, which is in the County Courthouse on main floor. You may also download the forms from http://marioncounty.arkansas.gov/assessor
